Server cases come in various forms, from tower cases, and rackmount cases, to blade server cases which are distinguished according to physical dimensions such as shapes and sizes.

• Tower cases – these are referred to as the traditional desktop computer cases. If you own a desktop computer, you most likely would already be familiar with its typical server tower case that stands up to 18” high.
• Rackmount cases – if you need more than a few servers to house, you would also need a little more space which rackmount servers are specially designed to offer.
• Rackmount cases are the ones that are housed within small server cases designed to fit into the standard 19” equipment racks.
• Blade server cases – Blade servers are servers on a single card that can be mounted alongside other blade servers in a blade server case.
